SINGER/SONGWRITER

Want background music for your local business, party, or event? Lydia has performed at coffee shops, bookstores, breweries, restaurants, museums, libraries, and more. She will play piano, sing original and popular cover songs, and can add oboe to the program if requested.

Singer/Songwriter Lydia Consilvio

Lydia’s music penetrates audiences with heartfelt lyrics and enchanting melodies. The pure and reedy quality of her voice pairs well with the oboe and English horn, which are often used as an underlying texture in her music.

Since the spring of 2023, Lydia has been a Teaching Artist for the Lullaby Project, where she writes and records personal lullabies for pregnant women and new parents. This program is a partnership between Carnegie Hall, Cantata Singers, and Women and Brigham’s Hospital.

While attending Eastman, Lydia was a soprano in the Christ Church Schola Cantorum. As a doctoral student at the University of Maryland, she was a featured artist of UMD’s Terrapin Record Label.

Lydia performed her song “Craving a Heartbreak” with rapper Konshens the MC in a live show at One Love Massive HQ. She has performed sets of original music at MilkBoy ArtHouse, the Maryland Food Co-op in Stamp Union at UMD, the College Park Outdoor Performance Series, and Vigilante Coffee Company.

Lydia was recognized as a semifinalist in the Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards and received Honorable Mention in UMD’s State Song Lyric Competition. She received the Express Yourself Award and Provost Award at the University of Maryland for her song, “Give Us Your Vote,” which was recognized for its relevance, clarity, engagement, effectiveness, courage, and sensitivity.
